How to put someone in a jar
Have you ever wanted to capture someone’s essence and keep it with you forever? Well, putting someone in a jar may not be the most ethical or legal way to do so, but it can be a fun and creative project. In this article, we will discuss the steps on how to put someone in a jar.
Materials Needed
Before we begin, make sure you have all the necessary materials. You will need a large glass jar with a lid, a small figurine or doll, a photo of the person, and any other decorative items you would like to add. You may also want to have some glue, scissors, and a marker on hand.
Step 1: Prepare the Jar
by Vika Strawberrika
The first step is to prepare the jar. Make sure it is clean and dry before starting. You can also decorate the jar with paint, stickers, or ribbons to make it more personalized. If you want to add a label, use a marker to write the person’s name or a special message on the jar.
Step 2: Prepare the Figurine
Next, prepare the figurine or doll that will represent the person you want to put in the jar. You can use a small action figure, a doll, or even a homemade clay figure. If you want to make it more realistic, you can dress the figurine in clothes that resemble the person’s style.
Step 3: Add the Photo
by Matthew Ball
Print out a photo of the person and cut it to fit the size of the jar. You can also use a photo of the person’s face and glue it onto the figurine’s head. This will make it look like the person’s head is attached to the body of the figurine.
Step 4: Glue the Figurine
Using glue, attach the figurine to the inside of the jar lid. Make sure it is secure and will not fall off when the jar is closed. You can also add some decorative items around the figurine, such as fake flowers or glitter, to make it more visually appealing.
Step 5: Close the Jar
Once the figurine is securely attached, close the jar and make sure the lid is tightly sealed. You can also add a layer of glue around the lid to ensure it stays closed. This will prevent the figurine from falling out or getting damaged.

Now it’s time to get creative and decorate the jar. You can add ribbons, stickers, or any other decorative items to make it unique. You can also add a label with the person’s name or a special message. This will make the jar more personalized and special.
Step 7: Display or Gift
Your jar is now complete and ready to be displayed or gifted. You can keep it on your shelf as a fun conversation piece or give it to someone as a unique and personalized gift. Just make sure to let them know it’s not actually the person in the jar!
Putting someone in a jar may not be the most conventional way to capture their essence, but it can be a fun and creative project. Just remember to use your imagination and have fun with it. Have you ever made a jar with someone inside? Share your experience in the comments below.
